How to- Frida paper chain

Article By Alice

As I mentioned in a previous post, it's Frida Kahlo's birthday coming up and I'm making crafts to celebrate. Last week I made tissue paper flowers and today I thought I'd try out a chain of Frida's.

You will need

A piece of A3 paper or larger

A pencil and scissors

Water colours

To get started

1. Fold your A4 paper in half width ways and tear down the fold. Fold the paper concertina style so you have 3-4 squares a strip.
2. Draw a Frida outline on the top square, making sure the arms are joined to the sides of the square (this will make the chain).
3. Lay out all the little Frida shapes.
4. Colour them in with watercolours, I experimented fist painting dresses.
Then I tried shading in bright colours.
5.Hang up your Frida chain for all to see!
