This summer, I've set out to start an Artist and Crafter support group, it was originally going to be this July, but emailing the organiser of the hall has taken up time so it is now going to start August 2011.

I first wanted to set up a group, through frustration of settling in to this town (Bracknell, Berkshire) over 3 years ago and still not really knowing many people locally, also because I craft so much, it would be nice to meet others who make stuff too.

The idea of the group to meet up once a month (third Tuesday of the month) and for people to bring along a project to work on, or one their happy to share and just have some general crafty fun and discussions.

The added extras are that my group is free, yep it's all at my minimal budget expense, but I figure if not now, when? I'll also bring along a few supplies I can find; magazine clippings, glue, paper, fabric scraps, for people to play.

I've put another ad in Gumtree and crossing my fingers, I have a month- I can make this work!
