Soothing Soul Collage

Article By Alice

Soul collage, invented by American therapist and poet Seena Frost, is an intuitive collage activity which opens up your creative energy and imagination to create a path of self discovery.

Cutting images and sticking them seemed like a soothing activity to try out for a weekday evening.

I picked up a bunch of magazines, and cut whatever image stood out to me, cutting clippings is really calming. I cut some card into rectangles and laid the pictures out on the table.

With all the pictures in front of me, I chose an image one by one and laid them in a formation I liked and stuck them down.

This was the bit I liked most as I saw which images were similar, that I could make story with. I had a sense of confidence and excitement from the closeness I felt from the images.

A little later after going on soul collage.com , I wrote on the back of each card- I am one who.... and finished off the sentence with what I felt the image was saying, a spontaneous meaning.

Take a look and see if you can figure out the meaning of my 'in the moment' images.
