Tissue paper flower tutorial
Article By AliceAs I mentioned in a previous post, it's Frida Kahlo's birthday coming up and I'm making crafts to celebrate. Starting with flowers made from Tissue paper that can be put in a vase or worn in your hair.
I started to make flowers from this tutorial, but I wanted to go smaller and sweeter, so I added more colours on paper and this is what happened...
Tiny tissue paper flowers- Things you will need
A sheet of tissue paper in 2 or more colours
A handful of pipe cleaners
Scissors

1.Cut around 10 squares from the tissue paper, the more the puffier flowers you will have, and the more colours the more interesting your flower will be.
2.Fold the square, concertina style, the way you would make a paper fan.
3.Take one pipe cleaner and cut it in half, then wrap it round the middle of the folded tissue paper once.
4.Cut each end of the tissue paper, here you can decide whether you want a round or pointy flower, depending on how you cut it.
5.Then comes the fun but delicate part, with your fingers gently spread out each piece of tissue paper till it looks like a flower.
6.Bend the pipe cleaner slightly inwards and your done!
Tissue paper flowers!
