In my blog a few weeks ago about Gloss Gel Medium, I did a quick video of my craft room and showed packets of Das Clay. I've finally got round to using them, originally for a video for our retail site blog but since it isn't up yet, I've had some fun putting it on here instead.

Das Clay is a moist modelling clay, which air dries to hard matte durable finish. It's been around for some time and isn't the most popular clay I've come across, but it is soft and easy to use. In the video I show how I've moulded a character from Angry Birds.



After I'd finished recording, I got to have a little taster of Folk Art by moulding skulls and painting them.

I used acrylic paints by candle light.

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with my skulls, since they have holes in the top they could be charms or hanging ornaments.

My crafty holiday starts today, I'm going to clean and make the place look Christmassy and then get back to- making, painting and writing!
