Using Gloss Gel medium- pictures onto paper

Article By Alice

Gloss Gel Medium is a supply I wish I'd started my journey off with, every time I heard it mentioned I wanted some, but sometimes money gets in the way and spending £10 on one supply put me off.

I love doing transfers though, so when money came my way, it was first on my list!

I made a video using Gloss Gel Medium on a photocopy image and a magazine picture, (I'll be doing more filming, because I felt at ease, we've been using it more lately**), in the video I also show experimenting with the medium and a little update of my craft room layout.

Quick steps to doing a Gel Medium Transfer

1. Spread the Gel with your fingers on the right side (the photo side up) all over the image.

2. Press the image down on to your paper.

3. With a burnisher, burnish your image for a few minutes, peel it back every so often to check on it's progress.

4. Peel all the paper away and walah! The image is now transferred onto your page.

Click on the video to see how it's done!

**We have a kitten!-We've called it Dynamo after the magician because when we first got him he did a lot of tricks/disappearing acts...I'll post some pictures soon!
